Along with the Total Production Service System, a
keynote of Howa's management has been recycling. We have been strict in pursuing
a policy of taking into account the environment's limited resources, and putting
them to the most effective use. From the establishment of Howa Textile in 1955,
we have utilized waste cuttings from the apparel industry, and recycled them as
felt, which in turn has been manufactured into high quality, high performance
interior car parts. At present, Howa Textile tackles, to as large an extent as
possible, the recycling of resources such as PP bumper waste, instrument panel
waste and polyurethane waste, etc., into manufactured parts. In doing so, Howa
Textile is not just a leading enterprise in the recycling field, but by pushing
forward with its own original research and development, Howa Textile is also a
recycling pioneer. In conjunction with this, Howa actively and enthusiastically
responds to projects such as joint developments with car manufacturers. An internal
environmental management committee has been set up in Howa to enable it to seriously
tackle the world's enivironmental problems.
